Here are some of the ones I would recommend… As a student, this is a huge factor for me when it comes to note taking, so I decided to dive a little deeper into the apps on iOS that are made for taking notes and are optimized for iPad Pro. Writing with an Apple Pencil on an iPad Pro is nearly as easy as writing on actual paper. The thing that I noticed very early on in my time with the Apple Pencil though, was how crazy good the palm rejection is. I was skeptical of the Apple Pencil when it was first announced, as I assumed it would just be the same as the tacky styluses third-parties had been making for years, but after using it I’ve realized just how wrong I was. I've done lots of research and have found replacement apps on iPad for most of my desktop needs, but the last thing I'm missing is Music Notation software.īeing a Music student, the need to write out music using an external MIDI device, with the option to play-back said music, is very important. While I would love to buy a new MacBook (I currently have an older gen MacBook Pro), I am absolutely in love with my Microsoft Surface, and would much rather prefer investing in an iPad Pro instead. With the latest WWDC, I feel like Apple has made huge strides with iPad OS and Mac on Apple Silicon, so I've been thinking of jumping ship from Android to Apple, however, if I make the switch, I would like to invest into the entire ecosystem.
